What do "a death-defying bridge mishap," "eight painfully miserable faces", and "the most eagerly un-anticipated romantic reunion ever" have in common? — why, it's just the latest Jersey Shore news from Italy, of course! How's it going, Jersey Shore-heads? I'm Jager Weatherby from Wetpaint Entertainment. If you've been following the latest happenings over on Wetpaint.com (and why wouldn't you be?), then you know that Seaside Heights' most infamous residents aren't exactly finding their big Italian homecoming to be a walk on the beach. After local red tape delayed filming by a few weeks, the macaroni rascals finally touched down in the motherland in mid-May... and well, let's just say that the reception has been less than warm. While hoards of GTL-loving younger fans have overwhelmed the cast and crew as they try to film on the city's winding, historic streets, the older residents of Florence haven't exactly held back when it comes to voicing their disgust. "Fare casino" and "Cafone" are just two of the highly descriptive things locals have had to say; and if you need a direct translation, well — let's just say they're not exactly complimenting Pauly's hairstyle. All of this Italiano-style hatin' — coupled with the city's ban on filming in bars, and topped with the whopping $375 the cast has already racked up in driving violations — may help explain why the gang has been seen looking absolutely miserable over the past few days. I mean, take a look at this picture of poor little Snooks. It looks like Florence is turning out to be more of a fist-slump than a fist-pump. And are the homesickness blues the reason Snooki's partner-in-crime, Deena, was photographed dangling from the Pont De Vecchio Bridge not too long ago? Nah — we can safely chalk this one up to Deena...just...being Deena. And in news that will shock and astound nobody, Seaside Heights' favorite heavy-weight couple, Sammi "The Knuckles" Sweetheart and Ronnie "Baby Tears" Ortiz-Magro, appear to have rekindled their no-holds-barred, take-no-prisoners romance. The dynamic duo were recently seen strolling hand-in-hand after a romantic dinner together — reiterating the age-old expression "You can take the couple out of Jersey, but you can't take the co-dependence-suffering, face-punching, and furniture-smashing Jersey out of the couple." And speaking of right hooks, Ron and The Situation were reportedly involved in an all-out brawl this week over — you guessed it! — Ron's tumultuous relationship with Sammi. And though Ron has taken more than a few beatings during his countless bust-ups with Sammi, rumor has it that Mike was the hands-down loser in this most recent development. Hmm...it looks like sticking his nose where it doesn't belong has finally backfired for the show's notorious meddler. Well, folks, that's all that we have time for today.
